Just saw this news clip about how insurance companies are starting to track driving habits through apps and devices, offering discounts if you're a careful driver. Made me think about how much money I've probably wasted over the years speeding or braking too hard, lol. Honestly never thought about it much before, but maybe being a bit more chill behind the wheel really does pay off down the road... anyone else seen this or tried one of these tracking things?
I've seen a few ads about these tracking apps, and while the idea of saving money is appealing, I'm still a bit wary about privacy. I mean, it's great to reward careful driving habits, but I'm not entirely comfortable with my every move behind the wheel being monitored. On the other hand, if it genuinely encourages safer driving and reduces premiums, maybe it's worth considering. Might give it a trial run sometime and see how intrusive it actually feels...
